7 Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description Position Description The purpose of this position is to respond to requests for maps, to perform related research and analysis using computer-based GIS tools.
This is accomplished by updating the City's primary spatial datasets using plats, construction drawings, field notes, and other resources as required.
Other duties include undertaking system maintenance and troubleshooting of GIS hardware and software and interacting with other City employees and citizens.
This position does not provide direction to other employees.

What We're Looking For Requirements - Four years of college resulting in a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, geography, math, urban planning, or related GIS field.
One year of increasingly progressive experience in ARC/INFO, ArcEdit, ArcPlot, AML, and COGO in a UNIX environment.
Valid Texas Class C Drivers License.
Additional Information Must be able to pass a standard background check, as well as a background check through the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and a drug screen.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
